Angora is a female fronted Blues Rock band from Toronto, ON. We write and perform original rock’n’roll music that revives the grit and soul of 1970’s rock’n’roll with a modern spin. Front-woman, Kalya Ramu comes from a classic Jazz background and brings a set of new technical offerings and style influences to our music. While staying true to the blues rock tradition, this tasteful genre blend makes us stand out from the crowd. Some of Angora’s most formative influences include Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Son House, Bukka White, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, the Beatles, Etta James and the Doors. We currently have two EP’s of original music out and a third one on the way.
